The 'Rajinikanth' enigma wrapped in a mystery?

There are lot of stories being posted by fans of Rajinikanth, and also some purported  leaked messages by the actor himself, pointing to the fact that given the present Covid situation, and also the health condition of the actor who had got his renal issues treated abroad, his party which as planned ought to be deferred to a later date.

Unless there is some more surprise in store, it now appears that the actor may not be venturing into active politics at all for the time being. Clearly, as most of us have opined, Superstar Rajinikanth has at best been a distraction on the busy realpolitik of the state, which goes to the polls sometime in the next year.

This could come as a big relief for the DMK camp, and its leader M K Stalin, who now seem to have a clear edge in the upcoming polls, thanks to the 2 term incumbency that the present ADMK government, and the Chief Edappadi Palaniswami are faced with.

Given the fact that there is a urge for change, the logical choice now is the DMK, as its leader M K Stalin is to be given a fair chance for the state and its people to see how he will usher in a decent rule in the state. This is to be seen in the backdrop of the fact that the much expected true and new ‘alternative’ Rajinikanth, is either vacillating or he is not too keen, given his age and health related issues.

The only spanner in the works could be a surprise coming from Rajinikanth himself , something in line with what political observers like Ravindran Duraiswamy opine – that given the huge volley of haters that actor has, he might want to give very little times for them to strike, and hence will take the plunge very close to the polls. It is even suggested that with his fans club RMM well in place, it doesn’t take much time to just paint a political color to that. It is precisely this, that people like M K Stalin and his top brass in the DMK may be dreading.

In the absence of any such surprises, Mr Stalin could well be the next CM, without any doubt!
